Swim 21 is the ASA’s club development programme
The purpose of Swim 21 is to enable ASA clubs to help their swimmers to achieve their full potential. Blackburn Centurions Swimming Club has the Essential accreditation in recognition of the work undertaken by the Club and its volunteers.
There are four sections to be addressed in order to gain Swim 21 accreditation. These are: -
- Swimmer Development
Identifies the opportunities and support available for the swimmers
- Teacher / Coach Education and Development
Deals with providing the best opportunities for the swimmers by developing good quality coaches
- Club Management
Identifies the area that needs to be considered in order to have an effective club management system
Covers the links that need to be established with other organisations that will benefit the club.
